With my top blowhole my gpu is ~40 idle (dual monitor) 57ish under load and my cpu is ~38idle and 43ish under load.

Without the top blowhole (which doesn't even have to be a mod, I bought my top already setup for a 140mm online) the temps go up about 5-6ish C.

I know this isn't exact, but then again depending on your setup it won't be the same either.

(btw this is my sigrig)

Thank You.
My wife thinks other wise. First I had the silver Lian Li 60(something), but it was too big according to my. So I got the PC-A05NB and she was bit happier. She really wanted another PC-Q11 for the bedroom, but I told her that would mean a complete upgrade including CPU, MoBo and Ram...she took that money and bought a 200dollar pair of jeans...WTH. kookoo.gif

Also, she wants me to shorten all the wires. Too much work. biggrin.gif

I have a question for you guys that really know this case well....

I want to buy one. Send it to our beloved SmasherBasher for modding. smile.gif I have no IDEA if my planned build will even physically FIT though.

So here's my intended parts list:
  • Asus P8P67 Pro ATX board
  • i7 2600k
  • 8GB of DDR3
  • GTX 580 (possibly under water)
  • GTX 460 for PhysX and folding (under water if 360 rad is enough)
  • 4 mechanical drives
  • 1 SSD
  • 1 Optical Drive (probably slim, modded above the 5.25 bays)
  • 1 Rasa XSPC 240 kit (would add the RX120 rad to it if I water cooled the 580), fans in a push / pull, half internal and half external on top.
  • And custom aluminum plates to cover the wires nicely, so nothing is seen, since I'm sure there's not enough room to hide the wires nicely.

Thought? Or is this not the case for that size of a build? I hope it is though....

Should fit with a little bit of work. If you want, try the Lian Li EX-553B with the slim drive (I actually have one for sale biggrin.gif ) but that will also add a mount space for the SSD (two actually) and then you can use the 3 1/2 bay plus the HD cage for the four mechanical drives. the left over 5 1/4 will be a res bay if you want.

Some creative cutting can get the 240 in the top or bottom, depending on your preference. So, it can work. It will take a while, but it can work.

If your budget has it, I would look at WC the GPUs, it will help with their thermal load in the case, IMO. Might also look at adding a second radiator (say, a 120mm in the back or one in the top / bottom - where ever the 240 isn't mounted).

Keep us posted. You have some cutting (and a lot of buying) ahead of you.

On a side note, did anyone else see the Scythe SCSO-1000 SUSANOO and think it could fit in the PC-AO5?

If the 460 is a slim it might fit in the second slot with the rad and fans at the top
check stinger's build log to see the amount of room
4 drives is possible if you use the cd drive or floppy drive area to put the 4th drive
if using a slim yea get that thing, lian li bezel thing that can house a harddrive
ssd can be placed in the floppy area if so
