heyy guys did Lian Li announce a update version of A05N releasing this year by any chance? I'm like seriously dying to buy this case right now from newegg but I'm afraid that Lian Li might release a newer version of this case very soon (with usb3.0 / better airflow design / better mobo tray design and shtuff)
I'm not sure if this is true but I definitely read in many other forums that Lian Li might be releasing the updated version of A05N with the new 2011 line up... do you guys have any info on this?

  • dual 5.25" res will fit
  • shallow lappy optical drive, modded sideways or on top of 5.25 bays will fit
  • 4x mechanical drives will fit
  • 240mm rad on top, will fit (possibly all external, or half internal)
  • GPU's will fit (580 + 460 Twin Frozr's)
  • SSD will fit on the floor
  • False floor and side panel to cover up all cables, have SSD under it, or on top with holes for wires
  • Possibly the addition of an external 240 rad on the rear external for GPU's at a later date (same loop)

I've taken some very serious thought and consideration into this. And I think it will all fit after its all said and done. It's going to be a VERY tight squeeze to get all this in there. But I could also SLI + PhysX with those 580's (and a single slot PhysX) if I wanted to at a later date even.

This case has so much potential. wubsmiley.gif

dual cd rom res will take up those 2 slots SO you can go 360 on top, so its 240, fan + rad takes up the top most pci slot, maybe the second depending on your rad

4x 3.5 drives, 3x on the cage, one you can try in the floppy slot

if all external water cooling then yea it will NOT block the slots

gpu for ALL external is fine, not external h2o um forgot your board, so maybe a problem

ssd you can chuck behind the mobo tray or anywhere else like behind the psu,

does this case (and other lian li cases) come all in parts? Do you have to assemble it, or are they just easy to take apart?

Also, how big of a GPU can you fit without the HDD cage installed?

Case should come pre-assembled.

The GPU slot is typically at the middle/top of the case, because of the inverted design, so taking out the HDD cage might not even free up any additional room.

I heard the A05FN is like a standard atx case now, like it doesn't have the inverted motherboard.

The great thing about Lian Li is the ability to do just about anything with them. You can always buy the add in USB 3 Like this.

Or go here and shop for alot of other neato things that you can add to the case.
