Ok cool. How much room is there to stick a fan on top of the GPUS to mount a fan to the side of the case?

yes you could do that no problem.

Sweet. Now I just have to find a way to make it look nice without destroying the elegance of the beautiful case.

Anyone tried one of these? At 13.7 x almost 8 inches woulod it fit on the top of the case?

that probably won't fit since the part where you screw into the case would hit the metal rails under the top panel.

but that is the issue with 140mm fans... the fan grills are so hard to find. most likely you will have to buy two seperate 140mm grills. you can find a bunch of 2 x 120mm grills though.

They make that one in a 2x120 set up also. But I believe it may have the same issue.

If you put 120mm fans up top, can you still use the last slot on the motherboard?

yes you can. I have 2 x 120mm fans up top and at one point I had two 5850's and a 9800GT doing physx and it all fit.

I got this grill below and the 140mm fans can fit on the top panel but only just. So I went for the Scythe 135mm fans with 140mm mounting holes.

Just prepping the case for modding, wish I took photos.

Dang...I really need a 2x120mm(240mm) grill to finish my build. My video cards need to be cooled!

so im trying a meld of my layout and the standard layout. Since it was 97F yesterday... i saw temps rising, so i turned the cpu fans around and made a single exhaust fan. Though i did make it a high cfm Fan, also i added another fan on the d14, also high cfm.

Ran IBT

Old Layout - 69C ( O_O' )
New Layout - 51C (included reseat)

CPU Z Val - http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1814204

with my fan controller on the higher cfm fans, when i dont need the muscle, it can be nice a quiet.
