If you didn't built your PC, you can be sure that you cannot overclock because manufacturers such as DELL, SONY, HEWLETT PACKARD, COMPAQ.... lock all the frequencies, multiplicators to prevent damage to the system because they know if they let overclock, many people would break their computer and have to get their money back and that would make the company lose lots of money, so if you bought it build already, except if you have some kind of hack to unlock those BIOS, function, you cannot overclock.

For Emberyx, I'm sorry but Pentium D is not compatible with your motherboard, the only CPU supported are Intel Inside Pentium 4 and Celeron.

But hey men, you can still get excellent processors on LGA775 Pentium 4, my motherboard supports Pentium D but I'm using Pentium 4, got a 650 3,4 GHz at 3,74 GHz, I got it up to 8 sometimes but 0.06 GHz doesn't make any difference, I've tried 4.0 GHz which is the maximum for my CPU but Windows freeze during loading, I didn't want to change Vcore (voltage) and to twick it more because my hardware is new and I don't want to break it now. I get fair temps around 35 Celcius with a fan.
Try newegg.com
You can get the cheapest prices, you cannot beat these prices no where, I bought all my components to build my PC from them, everything came home working. They even manage to get the best shipping prices lol.
If you want a new motherboard, in newegg.com, type:
GA-8NSLI Royal and find the Gigabyte one, it was elected one of the best overclocking motherboards by PC Magazine I think.
