can you post your corehack script here? you should see "XX cores detected" (12 or 16 depending on what you put in corehack script) as soon as fah launches.

cat /proc/cpuinfo | awk 'BEGIN { C=0 ; I=0 } /processor\t: 1/ { C=0 } { if (C == 1) { B=$0 ; I++ } } /processor\t: 0/ { C=1 } END { for (K=0;K<8;K++) { print "processor\t: " K ; for (J=0;J /tmp/cpuinfo.$$
sudo mount --bind /tmp/cpuinfo.$$ /proc/cpuinfo

Also just discovered that VM ware does not work well with my kvm. It makes the mouse and keyboard undetectable when switching between the two computers. Thats kind of a deal breaker as I like the ability to control my server at my desk. Using remote desktop connection screws up the GPU folding and I like to be able to keep an eye on it through out the day

Try this;

echo "yourpassword" | sudo -S cat /proc/stat | awk 'BEGIN { TARGET_NCPUS=12 } ; { if ($1 == "intr") { for (i=NR-2;i<=NF;i++) S=S " " $i ; print }' > /tmp/stat.save
echo "yourpassword" | sudo -S mount --bind /tmp/stat.save /proc/stat
post #1074 of 1755
getting a missing } near the end of the file.... and a "does not existint /proc/stat" No idea why the first error is coming up as all the { } match up. Dont know enough about linux to really understand whats going on in the code. I have to take someone to the doctors but will look into it more when I get back.

It doesn't have to be a missing '}', it could be some other misplaced character but if _s3v3n_ is using it then it must work judging by his team points

If I had a i5-2500k I would use this guide to try to get a big or huge WU.

There are two scripts, one for 8 core and one for 12 core.

The Royal Navy came roaring back but luckily Extreme Newbie didn't have enough points to pass 5-Bits. My next upload will be a huge WU Monday afternoon.

any particular place i should but the .sh file. I am getting a problem with "awk: line 2 missing } near end of file" and/or the mount instruction as it is giving me the help directions for how to properly use mount.

I have followed guides on how to get big adv but I must be doing something wrong. Every WU i recieve is a normal SMP. I have even tried deleting the WUs and getting new ones to no avail.

EDIT: Good job _s3v3n_ on your 2nd place finish in the foldathon this month

This guide? http://www.overclock.net/t/1048365/ubuntu-setting-up-big-bigadv-p6903-for-dedicated-2600k This is what I consider to be the best guide out there.

I just put the corefix.sh in the main Fah folder.

This is not my team rig but another rig that runs Ubuntu.
If you have a directory set up like this then I would put the .sh file in the SMP directory. It actually doesn't matter.

Don't delete too many SMP WUs as you will loose your bonus points.

Did I ? Darn I was busy playing with my new phone (Samsung Galaxy S2 Titanium) and I never had time looking on my rigs and stats.

I just put the corefix.sh in the main Fah folder.

This is the guide I used when I had set up my i7-920 to get 6903 and 6904 WUs, all worked perfectly, except I couldn't finish the 6904s on time.
