If you read the next line after the VT-X it is the VT-D which is not supported.

VT is supported VT-D is not

VT-D is a greyed out option as it is not supported

I have switched to Ubuntu 10.10 and although the above image looks positive I still have problems.

I tried to run a SMP A3 using the corefix but it either freezes or crashes.
A question to those running the corefix. Do you get core activity with System Monitor? I see no activity.

I'm not sure what to do to get my 2600k not to fail while the folding client is running.
Any ideas?

I haven't been able to display my core temps for my 2600k an my ASRock P67 E4G3.

you wont be able to see any activuty when using the corefix. are you running ubuntu on the 970?

as for the 2600k try downclocking both rigs

I downclocked from 48 to 47 and the WU % have gone from 3% to 48%.
Now if I could only figure out how to monitor the core temps under Ubuntu 10.10 on this rig.

When this WU completes in about 2 hours then I believe I'll add bigadv.
If my 2600k completes a 6903/6904 WU then it should be ready to make the change to the TC.

My i7-970 is running Mint 12, a Ubuntu based distro.
I was running my 970 @ (169x24) 4056 MHz and DDR3 1690.
This was probably my minimum OC to complete a 6904 WU.
This rig has always caused me problems getting a stable OC above 4 GHz.

When my last 6903 failed I lowered the OC to (166x24) 3984 MHz, DDR3 1660 and have been running SMP WUs until I could do some more stability checks.
