Hmm... seems a tad high. In the database most people get 45g.

Make sure the nickels are centered and not hitting adjacent keys. Gluing up a 40g stack also makes it a LOT easier.

Yea they were a little off center and that probably did it, doesn't really bother me since it feels fine to me but I'll glue a stack

Edit: Nope, still 55, maybe it's just too new

According to Cherry, purveyor of switches where the peak force is not equal to actuation force, they should be 55g anyway.

(Whoops, mouse pointer on graph is my bad)

Technically it SHOULD be measuring Peak Force Before Actuation. With Cherry Browns and Blues I find the momentum of the weights takes it right through the force peak. With Cherry Clears it does not and you get around a 60g measurement.

But as a proxy for stiffness it's better than Viagra.

What's this I hear, momentum makes the coin measurements inaccurate? Surely this cannot be?

I've had it happen at 50 before if I bump the keyboard or that last nickel it dropped on too hard.
