Are you really that bored, lol.

When you're stacking coins, you are wildly inaccurate and guaranteed to pick heaps of coins from your keyboard at once. I advise this method. All you need is a plastic cap, from a spray or whatever, roughly the diameter of a keycap, put it on a keycap, fill it with crap (anything small) untill the key switches, then put the crap on a scale.
No coins all over your keyboard, much more precise, and you won't be handling coins which are researched to be dirtier than toilet seats.
Brother, I think you're off your rocker.

Have you ever come to think about how many people actually have a weight system like that? Also who cares how dirty coins are, just wash your hands if you're really that much of a germaphobe.

And no, it's not wildly inaccurate... we all have nickels that are more or less evenly worn down, even if they aren't exactly 5 grams, we are all comparing using the same method (nickels) therefore the variable stays constant.

Also, it's not hard to keep a stack, even if you did end up knocking it over it won't take you more than a couple seconds to scoop them up. Your argument is invalid.

Wildly inaccurate as in +- 10%. Such measurements have no value. Why? Because you measure just as effectively with your fingers. If you just want to know if some switch feels light or heavy with just a little bit of graduation, just feel the keys. If you want to measure the switch points, use something better. In between you are just wasting time. If you wonder how late it is, you either use your biological clock together with things like the sunlight to determine fairly accurate how late it is. Or for exact measurement, you check a clock. However, if you decide to check a sun clock, you are doing it wrong.

Hint: 5 cents should be a pentastic mnemonic. The rest is math.

These switches are generally rated +/-15cn anyway so anything else is false precision.

Does that translate to picking some random coin from a random country representing a tiny fraction of the world population where they haven't even got simple rights such as free speech, and corporations execute state censorship? If only there was some metric system of unity.. hmm I KNOW.. what about grams?
I'm not allowed to get into political discussions here but let me point out that the US dollar continues to be the World's Currency and we thank foreigners for letting us borrow at 2%.

We have Thomas Jefferson, that lover of all things french, for this delightful adherence to the Metric system.
