Haha...I work in a machine shop when not in class...probably just a bit of grease from a connecting rod or something. I tared the scale before taking the measurements.

Why do so many morons argue about how a gram isn't the proper unit for measuring force.

Who gives a crap, stack some nickels on your keys, post results, be done with it.

I thank you for the guys who actually measured the nickels and such, this isn't directed towards you. But the jerks that just put down the thread because I'm not doing it perfectly, need to get out.

Holy hell there's a bunch of stuck-up snobs on these forums, you think all of OCN was New York.

TG3 BL82 (Cherry MX Blacks) w/ blood spatter guard (rubber membrane) installed = 30 nickels (~150g). A well abused key took 26 nickels (~130g).

+- 0.1g would easily be accurate enough for measuring key switches. My 1g isn't optimal but it's close enough for comparison's sake.
