Currently i am in the works of gettin all the parts for my new comp. In my current system i have an audigy 2 zs platinum pro -->

For my new system, would it be worth the money to get the x-fi elite pro? or should i stick with 2 zs plat pro?

i have logitech z5500 5.1 speakers.

i would appreciate anyones help on this. THANX.

It really depends on how much you want to put into sound.

The xtreme Music does the same exact thing as the Elite Pro, except you dont get the fancier programs and that box thing.

If you just like good sound and you dont make your own music than get the Xtreme Music or Platinum.

If you're a Hi-Fi gearhead and make music for a living or hobby then get the elite pro (but it's sooo expensive)

is there a big difference of sound quality between audigy 2 zs plat pro and
the x-fi's? If i got the x-fi extreme music, is it possible to connect it to the audigy 2 zs plat pro breakout box?

I really do not know but there is a definate difference between the Audigy series and the X-Fi's

If you need the inputs, get the Platinum version of the X-Fi and yuo'll get the I/O port

I dont know what that box does since I never really looked into it

I always thought it was just a breakout box for those who want a more professional look than just a simple i/o front drive.

As for whether or not the X-Fi is better, it is oodles better. In fact, the only limitation is how much your wallet can choke up for a set of speakers or headphones.

Definately get the X-FI its a great card and is much more powerful. Much more future proof and will go great with a nice 5.1 system.
