Recommendation for Ram Upgrade.

Thread Starter
My mobo with a Bios update will only hit 1.55 volts for the cpu vcore. I can also up my volts on my ram but not sure how high. My signature specs are below for the AMD Athlon X2 4400. My question: I would like to get some high preformance ram and need some recommendations for doing so and also wanted to know if it is a worthwhile upgrade considering the price I will likely pay could be as high as 150 to 200 per 1gb sticks.

These are the picks that achieve the highest speeds imo (below $200):

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=&maxPrice=210

The G.Skill set is very popular here, and people have reached pretty darn high OC's with it.

Whether it is worth the upgrade, depends how your current RAM performs. If RAM is holding you back to achieve higher OC's, then yes, do upgrade. However, if your current RAM is moving along smoothly... then keep it.

Good luck

Not sure but I ordered some Corsair XMS TWINX 2048MB PC4000 500MHz just in case...

Thanks
