Windows Won't shut down

Thread Starter
Hey all, Since i installed my SATA raptors in RAID 0 windows has totally refused to shut down, it just gets to the 'windows is shutting down stage' and after powering off the peripherals (mouse, keyboard etc) just stops responding. Does anyone know of any setting changes that may remedy this as though its not of huge importance it is REALLY annoying. Thanks in advance

Try updating your bios and check the power features within your bios making sure all settings are correct or normal as such. This however sounds like a windows issue also..Update all your drivers, especially your chipset drivers.

Yes i would advise getting the latest drivers for all hardware within your system and perform a system cleanup and defrag.

To clean up your system use ''CCLEANER'' HERE: http://www.ccleaner.com/
To clean your system registry use ''REGISTRY MECHANIC'' HERE: http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/
To defrag use ''DISKKEPPER 10'' HERE: http://www.diskeeper.com/landing/lan...PID=PPS0001292
