Yeah well thanks guys-- I try to keep it interesting. Unfortunately I have misplaced my camera--there are a lot of shots I couldn't get uploaded due to a USB bug on on the rig I was using--but I will try to post some more shots soon.

Honestly--unless Crunch is running in a very cold room I foresee major pobs--firt of all the Power SUpplies I so carefully selected do not have fas on the side of the box--so the effectivelt block 1/2 of the potential airflow--my frined came by yesterday to do some serious modding (which I hope to reveal on a seperate thread--unbelievable Uber Rig we modded) and had a breand panky Hiper Modular--I know all the bad rap modular is taking--but these were amphenol type connectors and it just makes too much sense--I still think any type of PSU mounted on the top of the case is going to be a hindrance to air cooling--

that leaves a couple of options to consider--the PSUs could be mounted on the back--right out where they can be seen--that HIper was sooooo pretty It would be perfect. With only a single cable entering the case that would like pretty interesting. the other option might be to have 4 seperate PSUs--I realised after a bit of fiddling that I would be forced to turn 2 rigs on at once with the splitter-that might be okay most of the time--heck all four at once even--but I was a little concerned about it--having never done it--I thought maybe 4 independent set ups might be better.

As far as cooling goes--I have my doubts that it will be effective enough.

But it was still a neat shallenge--putting those wireless cards in at the last was a real mailbiter--they slip up into the fins of the Zalman in order to be installaed--a real pain and potential for disaster.

The Rig Cage is a success though. I somehow managed to pull it off--tooke me two days of sutting and rivetiing and drilling and tapping--but it was a very challenging project--with quite a bit at stake from my perspective--

Of course I still need to get Crunch up and running--but I was completely side-tracked by a weekend of intense modding--no sleep, very little food--and lots of tedious assembly--but that's another story.

I sure do appreciate all the posts back after my phota blast.., Now to learn some more about loading an OS onto a USB drive...

EDIT too tired to type--I'll hav to clean it up later..

Well it's air flow I am woried about--I think the bottome needs to stay wide open and the top needs a gigantor fan like I saw on ebay for car radiators--something large enough to cover the entire 12" by 12" top--the 250 I got on the new Aerocool case was prety good--something liek that will be required to force the hot air out of the box as fast as possible--so the PSUs are just not gonna do it.

the bottom doesnt need to be completely open, think about it man, if you have exactly neutral air pressure inside of crunch, whats there to worry about?
just balance it. put like 1 psu on top, one on bottom, get like 6 matching high cfm 120mm fans, put 3 on bottom sucking in, put 3 on top blowing out. perfection!
