How's my favorite PC on the forum doing now? It's been quiet around her.

very very nice mod,

Ive tryed to find it on the post made before, but I did not find the answer to my question.

How will you run this 4pc best? MONSTER machine on Linux or windows? or simply have 4 different pcs?

Thanks for the kind words.

Right now I have Crunch stripped down to two D805/P5LD2-VM rigs running XP pro.

I reworked the cooling to make the old girl quiet enough to be an inside pet for the summer...when placed directly over an AC vent the cooling is incredible...

Although she can run 4 Rigs the current config is cleaner--only 1 PSU--and I mounted the HDDs in the spot where the other PSU was--meaning better cooling for the HDDs and overal better airflow. I did a little cable management too. Overall I like the two mobo arrangement for now.

Eventually I will upgrade to C2D microATX rigs--and I have longstanding plans to watercool the rig once it is upgraded. Watercooled I will definitely run 4 mobos--THe HDDs will be in the lid--I may watercool them too--I have this thing about HDDs--I think they are cooler than GFX cards--I want to see them--I want them to be a focus even.

But that will be a ways down the line. I have a large project underfoot and need to kick it out and get on to the serious work of Mod'ing

well, my question is more software related.

How will you run this 4 cpu pc?

is it possible to install a "super" windows that will run the 4 "pcs"?

or will it be 4 independant computers?

I am unaware of any SW that would meld 4 into 1--that would prett amazing. Has anyone heard of this?

I am running them strictly as independent Folding Rigs--Farm in a Boz if you will

BTW Crunch is crunching the WUs again. Thanks for pestering me Chozart...

I've read in an article about building a PC for $1 million, and what you could get, that a guy recommended he should get loads of PCs and operate them all remotely from a main centre, but I don't know if that would be a custom bit of software or not
