If you could stand dial up for a while, look for a free 1 month offer.

I use Comcast high-speed cable. Works great, I have the 6Mbps / 768Kbps package which is pricey. But, I've never really had any extended connectivity problem with them. Their customer service lacks, but you probably know enough to troubleshoot your own problems.

They have decent offers, sometimes. I think it depends on the area, so check them out. There is a fee (last time I moved) to rent the "equipment' and for installation. And I don't know about service contracts or anything.

That's all I can offer on Comcast... hope that helps.
