looking on page 87 you find that the Thermal Design Power is 110watts, the other numbers your talking about variances..ie check the 3800 it also has a variant wattage of 84.6, that doesnt mean their is 2 different cores with different thermal outputs

yeah, i saw that in what you guys where talking about. so whats the difference in a manchester cpu and a toledo cpu.

the specs i have here are for the new pc, which will be constructed at the end of the summer when i have money. ie, finding a job right now.

Actually there is an 89 watt version of the processor...it's the one i have...ti is unique in this fact. they even com with different fans on the HSF...i'll do some research and prove it.

Ok, I recant my original statements, and truly apologize to everyone...I decided to call long distance and speak with AMD tech support on this issue...Here is the final word from AMD and should help those who want the 89watt version...The OEM 4400 is the 110watt and the retail 4400 (PIB, processor in box) is the 89watt version, again sorry

hmmm thats makes no sense, why would they bother making to different processors for oem and retail imo that would put costs up for both cpu's.
also if you find the oem 4400 code : ADA4400DAA6CD
and relate that the the offical amd comparison charts they do match up so it must be true gj
