Hi all,
The current flood of news surrounding Wikileaks has brought to the forefront the larger issue of internet freedom and censorship - items that affect us all as web users and that are important to discuss and be informed on.
Here on these forums, we ask that you follow the discussion guidelines laid out in the Terms of Service and avoid the specific politics of recent Wikileaks materials that have been published, and instead focus your discussions on the technologically related issues that Wikileaks has, perhaps unintentionally, brought into the mainstream public's eye. Discussion of net neutrality, the role of online media in the press, distributed DNS and content distribution and broad internet media policy are all acceptable - specific politics of diplomatic cables, charges brought against Julian Assange, etc; however, are not. There are many venues on the web for that kind of political discussion, and we ask that it not mix in with our technology and performance discussions here.
Thank you,
--Chipp
