I was recently drawn to the attention of an atricle you wrote January this year.http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/...rds-smoothing/
Basically you stated that the PS3's hardware in this case Cell CPU and RSX GPU in tandom were more powerful than high end graphics cards for PC.
This is being kind, what an idiot you are.
At the time of writing the ATI Radeon 5970 was the most powerful graphics card in the world.
Ever wondered why console resolutions are always less than PC ones? Because their inferior GPU's cannot output such resolutions at a playable framerate.
For example Call of Duty: Black Ops, not a very "taxing" game on resources or hard to play on the PC infact an 8800GT which is now 4 generations old can play it without a a whim on a high resolution with more or the less the same graphical eye candy as the PS3.
The PS3 runs it at less than HD resolution, looking shocking and is in utter need of Anti Aliasing.
What's that PC have you been offering high levels of AA for years ? Oh yes you have. And you've also had so called HD resolutions for much longer too.
Infact the PS3 nor the Xbox 360 hardly have any games that output at 1080p at 60FPS.
Whilst the PC with it's "inferior" hardware according to you can play games in DX11 which consoles don't have because their GPU's are so outdated, at 1080p at a solid 60FPS framerate.
Oh any BTW yes I do own a high end gaming PC but I also own a PS3 which I do most of my gaming on because of the games available for it.
I love my PS3 however I find it ridicolous you spouting off without any research done beforehand that console hardware is superior to PC hardware
So Peter do you still think that the PS3 has better graphical capability than high end PC graphics cards?
