Is is sort of an old thread but coming back and reading through I just wanted to add if anyone is still trying to find a a very inexpensive solution that not only lasts but looks nice the door I made is the way to go.I have had DIY desk going on 2 years no and only have 4 legs and I have absolutely NO warping.
This desk only cost my about 70 bucks. That includes the door itself, the stain, poly, legs and 3" foam brushes.

Actually if you dont mind I might so this. this is exactly what I need. I think ill swap out those legs but its a beautiful simple table.

Wow I didn't realize that this thread was this old. Anyone know if you can still get that JELD WEN solid core flush door that was previously shown? I literally want to use that and stain it and by on my way. I'm currently sitting with a 5' with 2 monitors by i also have 2 big bookshelf speakers that take up 2 feet or so. Thinking maybe mount them to the wall.

Looks like the legs have holes, and the table top has some pre-drilled holes for the legs.

The spot im putting my table into has 3 walls about 30 inches beep and 77 inches accross.. I just got a 8x4 feet 3/4 inch thick slab of oak plywood and will be cutting and finishing it tomorrow. Its going to be supported by 2x4s on 3 sides and have no legs so I can put my sub and case on the floor and cut holes into it to route all wires and stuff under the desk

. Will post pictures of it after im done.
