Just got it

some pics

only 10l but that seems pretty big when your holding it.

the lid seems kinda sketchy to me nothing really holding it down and the rubber washer on the top is very thin. Will they fill it like this at air gas??? and is it safe to transport with just the vacuum holding the lid on??? Wondering if a dewar so small is just meant for holding not transporting if thats true what should my next steps be???

I work at Airgas (not air gas). The top should be fine. I verified with someone in customer service. The employees at Airgas will tell you they won't fill it if it doesn't have a proper top.

That lid is fine. 10L is tiny though, your sessions will be super short.

How long does 10L and 20L last guys? I'm on the lookout to get a dewar and was thinking 10-20L would be easier to get.

@bloke, thanks for the info will go up there and see if they will fill it then.
@kowciller, I know but just want something to mess around with. It was this or nothing the 25l are out of my price range so if I get an two or three hours with a socket 775 dual core ill be thrilled. ln2 is less than a dollar a liter so I can do 1 session a week this way.

$10 a session seems cheap, just hope it lasts long enough. I spent $12 on 10 lbs of DICE today and probably gonna buy some tomorrow.

200 bucks shipped, there are some 25ls on ebay that are 250 plus shipping. The problem with those is you have to pay to have the neck replaced and a pumping system put on. Not sure if I made the best move but Im happy with it. One of my friends got one of the 25l from ebay not really sure if they are still available because I didnt hear about it untill too late. And tbh I got it here and feel much more comfortable buying from a member of the community for my first go at it. I HATE EBAY

@mike.... I buy 15 bucks worth of dice at a time and thats too much for one session usually lasts me like 8 or 9 hours, I only get one day off a week and have a new wife so thats too long. Just hope I can find a chip to bench without cold bug to worry about so I can milk the few hours for everything their worth. CL3P20 said it took him 10l just to get his 655k ready to bench at 6+ghz hope thats not the case for me and my 775 chips

Should be fine for cpus that don't have a CBB (at least a decent temp CBB), if you can get the temp down & just hold it there through reboots & benching you will be able to get some results from 10l. If you have to pull it down on the reboots it can go through 10l pretty fast.
Also depends on the cpu & pots used. Multi core, multithreaded cpu on a pot that doesn't hold the temps well enough would go through the juice too fast.
