I'm a big fan of Tripwire's; Red Orchestra was pretty good, then Killing Floor was awesome. The only thing is, RO was only fun for a while because of its massive realism focus (everything from lack of crosshairs to re-chambering your rifle to intentionally-difficult tank control and the requirement of multiple crew members) Some of it was actually pretty neat to contend with, though I think I much preferred Killing Floor's fast action.

I'm gonna wait for an RO2 free weekend and see how it is. I may end up getting it, but I'm not about to preorder (no doubt they will give a russian soldier as an unlockable skin in KF)

This looks awesome. I always wanted to play the first RO, but didn't have a respectable computer at the time. Once I did have one, it seemed the community was mostly gone, so I never looked into it further. I can't wait for this!

However.. One thing disappoints me. I know RO is all about realism.. But I didn't read a thing about (semi)destructible environments? Was I overlooking something, or is this something I'll just have to get over?

The 'Risk' style metagame aspect sounds incredible.

There's destructible environments. But parts of buildings will still stand so that the battlefield isn't flat.

Yeah, I hadn't watched the 33 minute video yet. Sorry.

Sounds like an awesome game though. Definitely buying.
