P67A-UD7 Most In-Depth Preview/Review!! - Page 14

lol well the chipset deal actually hasn't effected anyone to date, it was only produced in labs. Not one person has seen the effects unless they tried to make them happen. SMART is a terrible system and always shoots out stupid errors, i wouldn't worry about it.

Anyways the new P67 boards are out now.

LGA2011 is the next step, but LGA1155 is going to have some new ivybridge processors soon with Z68 and they will still work with P67.

I don't think you should upgrade, there is 0 reason you will never see the performance difference unless benchmarking.

well i build computers for a living and i can tell a def from my computer and a 2600k so thats the reason i want to do this that and the potential for overclocking and i am a serious gamer and i think my processor is holding back my video card...

a bloomfield at 4ghz shouldn't be bottlenecking any GPU. BUT Sb does have superior 3d performance.

um they should be in stores soon, i should get one soon as well to help anyone out. They have a new BIOS code, as well as i think a different audio codec, slightly different.

And the power button isn't upside down anymore lol

i think you misunderstood my post my bloomfield is running at 2.8 i cant get it to run stable at anything over that which really annoys me with the super expensive watercooling case and i got the most expensive motherboard gigabyte made when i got this one and i have the watercooling going to the northbridge cooler kinda ironic they call it that being it has no northbridge but whatever floats there boat

Sin
thanks for your postings. Really looking forward to your comments on how to change mobo- I mean is it simply a matter of unplugging discs and cables etc and replug them in or are we gonna have to tweak drivers and such like.

I really hope we don't have to reinstall windows or software like creative suite.
So far I'm very pleased with old ud7 and 2600k using sata 3's but would like to add
ore discs in future so reluctantly feel I should exchange mobo when new ones out.

WRONG!?

Sorry dude, but your talking nonsense this one. Intel was informed that there might be an issue because they were failing for people...

My sata controller failed in about 2.5 weeks of standard-heavy (normal) use and I was forced to return the board before I bought a new one.

With that in mind, I kept my computer running for several days straight so that may have sped up the buildup of charge regarding the defunct capacitor.

Regardless, if you are still using one of these boards, CEASE AND DESIST! It's a ticking time-bomb. (Or just backup daily)
