Thank you BWG for all your hard work setting up all this, and I'd especially like to thank all the fellow Power Rangers for allowing me to compete with them!
The rig I'll be folding on is in my sig as "Slave Driver". Basically she is on 24/7 as this is my machine I use at my day job. With rare exception (like if I have to reboot or run a special test or something (not very often), she will be pushing PPD for the team.
She is an overclocked i5-2500k that I have on air (2 120mm fans in a push/pull on a CM212+, 2 200mm case fans, a 120mm case fan, and a 140mm case fan blowing across my GPU, a GTX 560Ti, which is OC'd to 882MHz ... but won't be used for the competition) that is running at a very stable, and cool 58-63C, 4.4Ghz.
In addition to this machine, I also have 9 other slots in a folding farm that I maintain.
I've been folding for only about 4 months now and just recently joined OCN about 3 weeks ago, and with a log of help from BWG, have got things set up so I can now compete.
As for myself, I'm an older poster. I won't say exactly how old, but suffice it to say, I do remember the 1960's ... well, some of it I really don't remember too clearly, but that is another story.
I've been a techno-geek all my life, be it computers or electronics or AV gear. After college, I joined the Maryland State Police as an electronics specialist and enjoyed that for about 7 years, then quit and went into the private sector. I've been doing IT work for a small/midsized company for 22 years now. I'm married to a wonderful woman. I love guns, motorcycles, and hotrods (as you can tell by my sig) and I'm constantly tinkering with them all. I do a fair amount of travel, both for my job and personal, and have been to all but 4 states in the US, and have been to several destinations in Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Indonesia. This weekend, I'll be at my brothers beach house and then about 60 miles off the coast tomorrow doing some White Marlin fishing.
I'm usually on OCN every days, if you need to get a hold of me, just drop me a line here for any team questions (or any other questions in general) and I can remote in via VPN to manage the folding farm ... well, aside from when I'm offshore.
Again, thanks for having me and letting me join Power Rangers!
