Power Rangers - Page 200

Guys, I have bad news. I think i need to drop out of TC, and quit folding on my 6950. For some reason, it won't run at over 75% load when folding. I'm not sure if it's an internal fail safe, but I have tried everything and it won't fold any better than 75%...which pushes around 6.6K PPD. I have removed all overclocks, shutdown over night to cool off...and it never runs above 56 degrees, even when folding at 100% load.

I'm gonna have to cut back on folding in general (heat in my office is a little much) and only fold on my OC FX-8120. frown.gif

Sorry guys.

Sorry guys.

Oh no. Well that is a bummer, thanks for your contribution though. I'll trade you HD6950s if you want to continue, mine folds @ 930 on the core. I understand if you can't though.

What is the PPD like on your FX-8120? I was thinking about picking one up now that they are under $150.

Sorry guys.

frown.gif I wondered why your points dropped a bit. Thought it was just gaming fix or something.

15k more points and we overtake "Infinity" ... then 100k away from "Team 13" ... keep cranking guys!

[Edit]

Dang, I just saw the news about Bob. Sorry to hear that.

One morning I just saw that my 6950s PPD was running 6.6k, instead of 9.3k...and not sure why. My 6950 is flashed to 6970 bios, and the main reason I wouldn't swap 6950s is because it's the ASUS DirectCU II model, with 4 full DisplayPorts, that I use. I was running 985/1550 for almost a month, folding without an issue...and one day it just dropped. I think I will revert the bios and try again and see if it works, and if so then I will continue folding. biggrin.gif

My FX-8120, which sits under a Corsair Hydro H60 cooler, clocked at 4.6Ghz (no turbo), was able to push over 25k PPD. I didn't test too long on it, as its the same box as my 6950. I was running the native F@H linux distro in a Hyper-V VM, on server 2012 during my testing. All 8 cores, but 2 other VMs running (Domain Controller and my torrent VM).

Ok, good luck with flash! Keep us posted, it'd be great if you could continue, but like I said, I understand if you can't.

Ah, 25k PPD isn't too bad, I wonder how much power an OC'd FX-8120 draws from the wall. I've only heard exaggerations from Intel fans on OCN, no actual numbers. I need to get another rig going though because 47 Knucklehead is catching up to me rapidly, lol.

Awesome. Good luck on flashing the bios!

Well, we did it. We are now ahead of "Infinity" and closing in on "Team 13". biggrin.gif

Woohoo, it looks like we are no longer headed for Div 2. Great job guys, lets hold them off and finish strong this month.
