Great news everyone!

So I didn't reflash my BIOS, but I did rip out my 6950...tore it apart, and cleaned it out really well. There was a bit of dust in the heatsink, fan blades covered, and thermal paste was dry and hard (had to scrub it off and used a lot of acetone). Re-applied thermal paste using something which I am sure is much better than what came on it, cleaned out all the dust and reassembled.

I then swapped out my 8GB of RAM for 16GB (which I can't clock higher than 1600Mhz for some reason), and rebuilt my PC. Did a secure erase on both my 60GB SSDs, and rebuilt my Raid 0. I then installed Windows Server 2012 Datacenter, set it up as a workstation (looks and acts like a custom Windows 8 now, but with a few extra features from Server 2012). Got the OS loaded, and several of my important apps, then overclocked my FX-8120 up to 4.2Ghz at stock VID. Installed MSI Afterburner, clocked my unlocked 6950 to 980/1500. Copied OpenCL.dll to where it needed to be, installed the F@H client. 4% into my first WU (11293) and estimated PPD is over 9K right now. GPU temps are hovering around 55-57C. CPU temps idling 35-40C.

I'm back, and hopefully I won't have any more problems.

Great news. What voltage is that at because that's pretty good temps, IMO.

GPU and CPU are both stock voltage. MSI Afterburner actually won't let me change Core Voltage, even though I changed the settings for it. Just a blank bar, but oh well. Power limit is of course on +20%.

You have to edit the afterburner.ini config file to allow voltage changes. Let me check the exact token.

edit
Its the afterburner.cfg file, my bad. set these tokens to 1.

[ATIADLHAL]
UnofficialOverclockingEULA = 1
UnofficialOverclockingMode = 1

Oh, maybe that's just for overclocking. The voltage unlock is in the settings, IIRC.

Wrong.

Actually you don't even need to set the first token, upon changing the second one, the next time you launch AB it will prompt with a dialog box, and you can just click yes, and set it that way.
