Its actually kinda weird, looking through the other teams and their AMD folder. There are faster cards getting less PPD. There are slower cards getting more PPD. Most seem pretty consistent, but some are not. How strange...

Yeah, when I fold on my GTX 580 it tends to increase the temps in my room rather well, so I can understand that. I think you're fairing pretty well, but those things do OC nicely typically. IIRC, 1337Lutz has one watercooled, and OC'd to 1000, or 1050Mhz, and it was cranking out over 11K PPD. I'm not sure what he currently has it clocked at, but he is number 1 in the Category, so its still doing well.

I believe he sold his 5850 and is now folding on a 5870. Lower clocks than he used to and his HFM says he does about 10k PPD.

Cool, I wasn't sure if he had sold it, or not. Thanks Krusher33! You're doing quite well on your hd6950 too. thumb.gif

Holy cow, I didn't know the 5850 overclocked so well and I've owned it for years. Embarassing.

Its running 925/1150 @ 1.225v now! 50 more watts are being sucked down. I'm not quite sure if its stable, but temps are only 65 degrees.

Hell yea!

Keep working at it. Eventually you'll get up there with Lutz.

But to be honest, I think they (the big boys) go up above 1.3v. I'm trying to get above 1.3v but I'm having too much trouble getting windows to load when a bios is modified.

Nitro is falling behind, which doesn't make sense because there are many 580's ahead of him. Maybe hes running stock like I was?

Now that my current setup seems stable, I think I'm gonna try to OC a bit more today. Maybe I can hit the 11k mark.

Question: so if you're folding anything other than AMD, the points you get are kind of luck-of-the-draw?
