That will give me almost as much cooling as "The Betty" has now, except in an all-in-one chassis.
I guess then I'll use "The Betty's" radiator stand to cool my wifes computer, or just convert her over to a 24/7 Folder when I buy a Haswell CPU/motherboard in 2013.

Can't wait to see pics of this! I like my switch so much I've had 2 of them. Great case for the money even if it is a little wobbly.

Also, TC machine will be down for a little while tonight so I can troubleshoot V7 client as soon as the current WU finishes, and maybe up the OC a little more.

Water cooling a computer is like eating M&M's ... you can't just have one. biggrin.gif

Here is the custom lower I'm most likely going with, which is a mod of what Dwood has already done.

Here is what he already did:

Basically, instead of a 120.4 and a clear plexi window and a front fan, I'm going with a 140.3 (420) instead of the 120.4 (480), mesh for air flow instead of a plexi window, and mounting a dual bay, dual pump/res up front. I'm also adding a hole in the back so I can put a fill/drain port.

Basically, the base will be a fully self contained water cooling base for a Switch 810. I'm most likely going to mount another 420 or 360 in the upper part of the Switch and just pass the tubes up to link the 420 in the lower and the 420 (or 360) in the upper, to the CPU and video cards.

Here is what I'll use up front ...

XSPC Twin D5 Dual 5.25" Bay Clear Reservoir w/ Twin XSPC D5 Variable Pumps Installed

I'll end up painting the bottom (and maybe the front of the bay res) a matching "Gunmetal" as the case ... but depending on how cool the bay res looks without the front cover, I may just leave that part off and have a fully clear plexi reservoir.

VERY nice. I might have to get me one of those for my Switch now.

I just got done scavenging parts so I could mount my H50 on my X79 board, had to cobble together a weird stack of springs and washers on the long screws I had to get it mounted, but it did drop my idle temps from 45*C to 30*C. Hopefully load temps drop too, and more importantly its quieter than the CNPSX I had on there before. Now I'm upgrading that rig to Ubuntu 12.10 and a wireless card so I don't have to run the ethernet cable.

Right about the time that gets done the TC machine will be done with its WU and I can re-install and fix the stupid V7 client, and its also getting matching wireless treatment.

Meh... dodgy pin?

So I just got the TC machine running in 12.10 with V7, of COURSE now HFM won't connect to it for no apparent reason. It got a 7002 right off the bat though, 39k ppd if it kept getting those rolleyes.gif

EDIT: got it working, holy crap this has got to be an error, up to 55k ppd now on its estimate lol

ARRRRRRG!!! I'm tired of 76xx units, and now add 78xx to that list. 13k ppd does not make me a happy camper.

Beware that some wireless cards are flaky with Linux, do some research for ones with good support. But cable>wireless in stability anyway.

I specifically bought 2x USB adapters that are proven to work, they work great. Got them both running last night with no fuss. Much nicer because I could move them out of the corner that the router is in to a cooler area of the apartment so my temps dropped too.
