Ideally I'd like to get 4 of the same systems, but I figured I'd be able to get a 3570K and 3770K at the same time, on the company credit card at Rockville, then drive to Towson and do the same ... proof, 4 new systems.
Trying to get 4 systems at that price with the same CPU (3770K, 8320 or 8350), especially when one of the stores is out of the 8350 will be harder.
Hmmm, Newegg has the 8350's in stock for only $199 ... which is only $10 more, and I won't have to play any games. I could get 3 from Newegg, and a 8350 and motherboard from Microcenter (to get the $50 combo bonus).
Heck, the motherboards at Newegg are also the same price, after a mail in rebate ... $149.99 - $10.
So the bottom line is ... how much better does an FX-8350 do over a 3770K or 3570K for Folding?
Crap. I just noticed, the GA-990FXA-UD3 doesn't have on board video, so I'd have to factor in that cost too over the 3770K and 3570K.Edited by 47 Knucklehead - 3/1/13 at 7:38am
