But it's loud, power hungry, and doesn't do Folding@Home well (at first glance). But for $549, it will be hard to beat for a "buy it, install it, and game with it" card.

Worse than a 7970 with the same architecture but more ROPS, Texture units, and stream processors..... rolleyes.gif strange

Yeah but that's not sustainable cooling , it's going to be nice to see with a full cover and decent loop . I need to actually water cool the folding rig, it has gone long enough on an h100 , I need everything from the d5 res couple rads cpu block maybe universals for the mobo , I don't think anything fits my ram. . the full shabam id love to go heatkiller but otherwise ek will do . I'm going for l3p desk but in an antique wood schooldesk. I need cable extensions too but I havnt picked the colors probably gold though to match the mobo.

Theres a 1435mhz card on LN2 in the 290x thread.

Still pretty slow compared to the 1200.1MHz LN2 Titan or 1204MHz LN2 GTX 780. wink.gif

Aye, I don't know what to make of it, it's even worse than the 280X. Odd to be sure.

But even as crazy as I am on F@H, I wouldn't touch one for 24/7 unless there was MASSIVE GAINS over a 7970. The power draw for 24/7 operation is just too high ... even for my fat bank.

Well, it was a "not warm ride" in to work this morning on the 'Glide ... 32F outside. wink.gif

Going to bug out a little early from work today, hop on the 'Glide, hit the beach house then get up and take the boat out tomorrow (and maybe Sunday) and troll for Stripers.

Wish me luck.

Oh, and we are still kicking serious butt .... Power Rangers lead by 423,304. thumb.gif
