Get the Vcore up. Something like 1.165 or so. Don't touch the IMC yet.

I will go try the 1.165 I dont understand the "or so" so I guess we will be aiming at exactly 1.165.

Roger that - wont touch IMC yet unless you say so.

Its ok Seban. I understand how nerve racking that first OC is(well your first on new hardware). Jak3z is doing a great job, with helping you OC your computer. Everything he has said is good information.

I was just giving some minor pointers since I have a similar setup(almost identical when I first bought it). But then again, CPUs MOBOs and such all behave differently, even when they are the "same".

Good luck with your OC, these i7 860s have proven themselves to be good chips, and even better overclockers. If you dont mind I would still like to watch this thread, incase more help is needed.

Thankyou and lol ofc I dont mind - you are welcome to stay and observe and as I said I apericiate your pointers too and I didnt mean no disrespect as I said before so dont you feel like unwanted guest here. You are welcome too. BTW I gave you +rep for an excellent taste (I love ASUS mobos aswell - in fact Ive been a user of this brand for like 10 years - had two ASUS mobos [now notice the number of them are why they are so good - didnt ever needed to change and my first computer lived 11 years but that was ancient piece of equipment though ASUS P2B-F mobo wink.gif])

But back to business mates:

As jak3z suggested to set Vcore to 1.165 or so.

I was able to set it to 1.16250 though the next number is 1.6875 and Im guessing it will be the next choice if the current one fails, am I right ?

Yes keep going up. Once you reach 1.17 get IMC a bit up.

Alright I go bump up vcore to 1.16875 and mate you will need to define later what is "a bit up" on that IMC.

Be back in a second or two...

For a stock cooler is what we can do.

Now try doing more runs, 25.
If you get 25 done, run Prime95, some hours of Blend Test, that will test all the system stability. If you can to focus more on CPU testing, Large FFTs.
