Aerocool Xpredator club

i have one of those black editions sitting in my living room right now, unfortunately it arrived with broken front and top panels, so i have to wait for a second one and hope my luck will be better next time round. so about the case, the construction of the case is fairly sturdy. the top and front are plastic, but arent most cases are these days? my only concern is how strong the joints of those plastic bits actually are, as they came literally shattered in pieces. i mean the joints ok? not the actual panel themselves. but hey, maybe the case went through an extremely tough ride to my flat in Prague, who knows. i think the aerocool website covers most of the things you need to know about the case. one thing it didnt mention was that the top 230mm fan can be replaced by some 120 or 140mm fans, but i didnt look into it in a great detail. but yeah, my point is, for those who want to water cool, i dont think much modding, or in fact any is needed. i cant be bothered to check it right now as i am writing, i have already packed it back to the box for returning. but if anyone is interested in dimensions or whatever info you want, feel free to post a message here. i never owned a top end case like say, lian li, corsair or silverstone etc., however i did own a few coolermaster cases, elite, storm and haf912. personally i think they're all decent cases, cooling wise they do a good job and looks great too, saddly they are a little too small for my new rig. point is, the xpredator is similar in build quality to the coolermaster cases i've owned before, and its priced at approx 120 euros, whats that, 160 dollars, so shouldnt expect miracles really. it looks good, it has tons of spaces, great cable management capability, lots of cooling options, personally i think its a great case for air cooling, so get one if your not a serious water cooling enthusiast. anyhow, let me know if theres anything you guys wanna know about the case before buying, maybe i can help.

I just bought my Xpredator Evil Black today, its a monster! I will be taking pictures as I go along and I shall post them.

add the Rosewill Thor to it, they are the same case, only rebrand/slight color/look change.

Well I will be posting the pictures tomorrow because its late now and I have an interview in the morning but according to BigFrank who owns the Rosewill Thor, his is a load of junk popped together but the Xpredator is actually really good quality, its robust, everything is built solid and my hardware fits in perfectly. Hate all you want, this is no American made Rosewill.

Two cars that look the same but its two completely different companies

I am aware they are the same, Its called badge engineering, two companies make the same thing (aerocool didnt/doesnt have plans of releasing the Xpredator to USA so Rosewill builds and sells it) Obviously one is going to be better quality than the other because it is assembled by that company.

But anyways, here are the pics (sorry for the time stamp - my lame camera didnt want to remove it)..

The box it weighs 15kgs, the case is 13kgs..

Going from the VX-E PRo to the Xpredator

The HDD screws in at the bottom with thick rubberpads supporting it keeping vibrations away and it just slides and clips in keeping it quite secure..


Sorry for the bad picture, the PSU is raised on rubber stands so if the filter is blocked the PSU wont be..

The orange lines blink white when the HDD is busy, the on/off switch is kind of hard to push, I like it because I cant push it by mistake when my hand is wandering around there..


like I said, its built quite solid, this is no cheapie (it may be steel and plastic but its very good quality)

It's made in China. Just like everything else is in America.
