Looks like he has a radiator the same thickness as the h100, and a set of fans. So what he has in the roof is the same as a h100, and i can see in the photos that the fans come close to the motherboard, so if you installed a h100 thats what it would mount like for you. With 1 set of fans.

The only way to have a 2nd set of fans would be to have them on the otherside of the roof. You couldnt fit both sets of fans and the radiator inside the roof, it would hang down to low and the motherboards cpu heatsinks would be in the way.

Hey Tango Bango, my roommates have both the NZXT Phantom and the Rosewill Thor (the American XPredator) and I know them well. The Thor/XPredator has a very nice side panel with the option to install 4x140mm fans (best for air cooling), and the lourves on the top are instant badass points to anyone who sees it. If you're looking at the XPredator that has only two side fans be careful, it is something like 2" shorter. The 600mm tall (4 fan) XPredator will barely fit a standard config H100 on the top. If you want push pull you'll have to mount the H100 on the side of the 600mm tall version and I don't know if that (or even a top mounted H100) will work with the shorter case. The Devil Red's aesthetics are killer and second to none, but you can not find the case in America. Period. Cooling performance on air alone is not something I can speak for but my roommate is cooling his i5 Ivy with a rear mounted H60 OC'd stable to 4.3 under 65c. Assembly of the case/ computer is a breeze. Cable management is good and there is ample space inside. You will not be disappointed with the 600mm tall XPredator Devil Red or the Thor, but keep in mind I can not speak for the 2 can version. *Protip for water cooling, pull in outside air, you'll see perhaps 10c better temps. As long as your graphics card is a good cooler, you'll be better off overall.

Oh and Roxnad, if its at all like the Thor, just take off the top panel, and pull off the front panel, it snaps off, you just have to put muscle into it.

Ps, when describing the Xpredator, I am probably referring to it interchangably with the Thor, since I've never actually seen the XPredator in person I'm guessing the design is pretty much exactly the same as the Thor (from what I see in pictures). Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm also talking about the 4 fan version, not the shorter two fan version. Just so there's no confusion.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the thor v2, and its a bit bigger than the expred x3. The red devil looks pretty cool, but was thinking if the fins and such came off easy enough, I could just paint them. iIhad a H60 on the i7-975 until it pooped out. I picked up a Noctua NH-D14 and it works great.

Hey guys!

Since I've bought my Aerocool Xpredator Black Edition recently, i had to create an account on this forum.. So here i am!

I've seen some cool stuff going around here, and would like to post my case as well within a few days. I'm currently cooling my components with air, but (i hope) ill receive my water cooling set within a few days. Ill post some pictures of my progress when i start building the water cooling system inside my PC.

Cheers,

Hi.
Can anyone with an Xpredator open the top section of the XPredator and take a video/pictures of whats underneath the top section?
I want to see how the fins work and if theres any space to create a widget for it.

Can somebody explain to me why the X3 is 50 euros more than the X1?
The only slight differences i can see is the small difference in size, and the side panel looks different.
I was about to buy an X3, but since i've seen the X1 and it's price i'm really doubting if i should buy the X3 for that much money.. redface.gif
