Well I've been playing some more with overclocking. This time with my CPU set to 3.80Ghz. I ended up with a better 3D Mark 11 score which I'd like to be updated on the club stats please. Stable 24/7 OC no voltage tweak on either required on GPU.

My CPU i7 950 3.07Mhz to i7 950 3.80Mhz.
GPU @ 912Mhz core /1111Mhz Shader / 1824Mhz Memory

attachment.php?attachmentid=194181&stc=1&d=1296953065

I'm happy to be getting 14% gain on GPU and now 22.8% gain on my CPU thanks to overclock.net and those who post while others learn. Woot! I tried to go to 4Ghz but it went unstable. I'm sure it's only because I haven't figured out the right mix of settings. I have to say though I'm just shy I'm happy and don't want to push my CPU temp any higher.

Though I could take the card higher @920 I started getting video spotting, in Crysis game play Enthusist level AA x4 where I usually like to play. I've backed down to @912 Core.

Also just wanted to say special thanks to Korak who's guided me as well as giving me the courage to push my limits as I learn about overclocking.

This way when I do put the settings to their maximum, I can have a sort of guideline during gaming, to see if my card is performing the way it is meant to be.

However markag your post makes me happy, as long as it is smooth that is all I need to hear.

Thanks again mate, if you have the time, maybe update your post in a few days with a average fps? Only if you have the time, cheers again I'm off to bed for the night smile.gif

I was playing BFBC2 the other day and was getting between 75-105 fps in multiplayer at 1920x1080. Average fps was about 90. Played many different maps and that held true for all of them.

Heh, thanks... and you are welcome. Now next step is the "magical" 4GHz smile.gif
When I reboot my comp next time, I take a pic of my bios, so you can try that then.

Updated. If you were not added, please read the requirements on the first post.

Also, if the thread has not been updated please don't pm me or double post. I usually update the thread every few days. Just wait for a post like this and then check if you were updated. Lastly, please keep the thread on topic. You can pm or use the Intel cpus forum to talk about how you can better oc your cpu.

Thanks and grats to all the new owners! biggrin.gif

Ahhh, I found out why my WEI (hush!) dropped from 7.9 to 7.6 when I went from 2-way to 3-way SLI:

My motherboard. Lane 1+2 are x16, if there's a card in lane 3, lane 2 and 3 drop to x8, so I'm at x16/x8/x8. I was wondering why things seemed a little sluggish.

Can a pair of gtx 580's with 3-slot coolers be used in SLI in a Gigabyte X58 UD5? I might just create a thread to find out. Thanks.
