:s
So was it even worth the extra $500 to run Tri-SLI?

Well, seems like Metro is running smoother @ 5760 x 1080...the extra 1.5gb VRAM does help a bit at that resolution.
Scaling went up what, around 33%...as did my power consumption. lol

I'm still happy with it...things did seem smoother 2way, but I'm sure a new driver will remedy it. Plus I still have to run benchies.

You've had that third card for how long and you haven't benched yet?!

Time to get on that. Come to think of it I think every time you power on your rig the lights in all of North Jersey dim.

LMAO...only for a couple weeks.

Actually, I'm surprised I only load @ around 850w. (gaming...benching might push it a little bit more) I did spike past my UPS's 900w overload limit a couple times, so I'm thinking I may have to use the surge protector side only until I get a beefier UPS.

Really? 850w for Tri-SLI 580s and an overclocked i7? Makes me not so afraid to Step up my 570 to a 580 and SLI down the road.

I think my absolute peak with 3way was 934w...but not real world (gaming)

I don't remember...maybe it was WEI (really?!) or the Metro benchmark that triggered my UPS's overload circuitry...lol. I didn't go over 725w with 2 way, but that was a stock 930 and 2way 580.

(mind you, that's what the load meter on my UPS stated..same for 3way, that 850 might be a bit more or less depending on what you're doing.)

Hmm. I'm going to go mental for the next 50 days while my step up program nags at the back of my mind.

To 580 or not to 580?!

Also, are you a water cooling master now? I might want to employ your services sometime down the road for some coin to help me set it up. Lol.

LMAO @ master. My first WC adventure, only had one leak and that was a simple user error. I'll be more than happy to lend whatever hand I can.

What clocks does a i7 920 need to achieve to avoid bottlenecking sli 580s?
