Look at the front page of verified members. Some of you aren't putting your name on the screen shot with your specs and Subz3ro can't post it without verifying you. You don't need to repost or send him a PM, just fix your current post to be added.

He usually gets to updating the club members within one to two weeks pending his real life free time. Lately a lot of people moving on up to the deluxe 500 series in the sky. smile.gif

I've got a question for all you 580 owners. I'm looking to step up from my 570 and wanted to know what kind of Delta temps I should be looking at when overclocked to 850MHz and 900MHz respectively. I ask for Delta because my basement is very cold compared to the rooms most of you are located in.

Right now with an 850MHz overclock on my 570 I see 65*C (Delta: 50*C) load in game (Metro 2033) with the 1% fan per 1*C.

If I keep the same fan profile and an 850/ or 900 overclock on the 580 what should I be looking at? 70*C? 75*C? 80*C?

Oh and I'm not sure that it matters but I will be reusing the EVGA GTX 570 backplate (numbering will be taken off or left for easier sale down the road, who knows) and the High Airflow Bracket.

I got new toys today for my 580 SC. Backplate and highflow bracket, and at the moment 850MHz/4200MHz idles 36-37C. But we have a bit higher roomtemp, around 23C, cos of our baby.

EDIT: and only time I saw 80C´s on gaming, was Stalker @ 82-83C. Havent got time to check where this goes now.

At what fanspeed? A custom profile with 1% fan per 1C? Cause that would get kinda loud. :/

oh sorry, forgot that. My max fanspeed is 69%.

EDIT: but the difference from 570 to 580 is not that big. So if you have extra money, then go for it. But dont expect TOO much.
570 is also one hell of a card

Well I do know it is a hell of a card as Metro can contest to that. but at 850 MHz I'm just barely matching stock GTX 580 territory if even that. I'd like some more power!

If you had your fan set up to 1% per 1*C do you think it would go over 75C? Cause at 75% fanspeed things start getting a bit loud on the 570. That's why I ask how how these babies get. 80C with 80% fans would be a big turn off to me. :/

Like I said, max fanspeed 69% and never seen +80´s on gaming except Stalker went 82 or 83C.

And YES, if you want more power, then go for it. This card is simply awesome.
I had 2 x 5870 for 8 months, and I cant be more happier for this change.

I made 3 runs of Heaven benchmark

1920 x 1080... 4 x AA... 16 x AF... Normal tesselation
max temps 75C with 67% fanspeed (room temp 23C)

EDIT: 30 minute MAFIA II session, everything max, peak temp 67C with 63% fanspeed.
I Love this card
