I jumped the gun last Wednesday night and ordered an EVGA GTX 560 ti.

Well, It just arrived today. Just retired the 260 (196 sp)

Here's my screenshot.

I feel like I've been shorted an inch or two though. (Kinda stubby compared to the 260)

Revamping my cooling atm so no overclocking.

Welcome to the club Eduardy! You'll be more than glad to own that Nvidia GTX 580.

I've got everything maxed out in gaming running like hot knife through soft butter. On Crysis AA x4 enthusiast mode full screen full inertia like eye candy.

I've jumped ship from a MSI AMD 6870 Twin Frozr II that was giving me BSOD from 10.12 driver update issues and haven't looked back. MSI is great, it's AMD drivers that pushed me away.

In fact as soon as the price has any type of $40-50 savings I'm hitting the purchase button on another EVGA GTX 580 SC or Black Ops to run SLI and set myself up for the next few years.

GTX 580 is Fermi at full potential finally. All 512 processor cores, 384 bit 40nm GF110 board, running lower power consumption, less heat dissipation, better efficiency than the GTX 480. Enjoy.

This post isn't exactly related to GTX 500 cards but I just upgraded my boot drive/ OS from an old Fujistu laptop HDD with Vista 32 bit to an SSD with Windows 7 64bit and the performance damn near melted my face off.

At first I was like meh this is kinda quick. Then I was like that was a quick restart cycle. Now I know why all you people have been advocating SSD performance. It's mind blowing.

Okay guys I now have an issue with 2D clocks with my GTX 570 after installing 266.58 drivers.

From what I could tell it was downlocking normally before but now while installing Mass Effect 1 it's running at full 3D clocks. Good thing I don't keep my overclocks applied but rather click them on before games.

She's idling at 45C right now with the 1% fan per 1C profile and normal idle would be sub 30C for this room.

Is there any way to solve this? I also tried creating a 2D profile using stock clocks in Afterburner to no avail. Damn you GTX 570/ Mass Effect 1.

EDIT: As it turns out it was the Mass Effect installer. Don't ask me why that warranted 3D clocks as I can never remember a game doing that. But once the installer was done and I shut down the rest of the Mass Effect processes it downclocked. Oh well.

@THC Butterz

Nice card but your screenshot is pixelated a lot. Weird? Never seen a picture get that much pixelated.
