Question....when you said "I put his two 465 sli" do you mean into your computer? I'm trying to figure out if it was the same computer that ran those both benchmarks? In other words the same CPU/Ram power.

Second question, did you run them both at stock speeds? Any type of overclock to either would askew a comparison benchmark.

Your GTX 580 FTW is water cooled and his GTX 465 would be air but that wouldn't make a difference.

ya i put hit his video cards in my computer, and both his and my cards where at stock speeds, and my cards wont be underwater till the weekend

*Edit*
I did another test but this time in separate computers and his has 2gb less of ram @1033mhz, and a stock i7 950 and he scored 30points more at 1680x1050, so maybe they do better a lower resolutions, because when i did the testing with both set ups in my computer at 2560x1600 my 580 pwned the sli 465

*Edit*
So i talked to him and he said he put his graphic settings in the nvidea control panel to all performance to get the score, so i put mine to performance and re-did the benchmark the results were: 2x 465= 960 vs 1x 580= 1350 so a 580 merks sli 465s

Does he have SLI enabled? 960 sounds rather low for SLI 465's.

Yes they it was, but the test in my computer my @2560x1600 my 580s were better.

but the other test were done in similar but different computers, so if the second and third test were done in the same computer i think the tests would be closer but i think the 580 would still me on top

Would love to be added. I gave in and upgraded one of my 260s. New card looks like a baby next to one of the old 260s. It's a Evga GTX570 SC. Just leaving at the factory overclock (797core) right now as I'm too busy with work right now. Barely found the time this week to plug it it.
