Second question, did you run them both at stock speeds? Any type of overclock to either would askew a comparison benchmark.
Your GTX 580 FTW is water cooled and his GTX 465 would be air but that wouldn't make a difference.
ya i put hit his video cards in my computer, and both his and my cards where at stock speeds, and my cards wont be underwater till the weekend
I did another test but this time in separate computers and his has 2gb less of ram @1033mhz, and a stock i7 950 and he scored 30points more at 1680x1050, so maybe they do better a lower resolutions, because when i did the testing with both set ups in my computer at 2560x1600 my 580 pwned the sli 465
So i talked to him and he said he put his graphic settings in the nvidea control panel to all performance to get the score, so i put mine to performance and re-did the benchmark the results were: 2x 465= 960 vs 1x 580= 1350 so a 580 merks sli 465sEdited by Qu1ckset - 3/14/11 at 1:55pm
