once calibrated, most reviews peg it at 60W. Since I already had experience with triple 100W 24" TN panels from 2007, I'm fine! Thank you for your concern, however!! Few are so considerate.

As for the H-IPS tech switch - I have never seen a full gamut H-IPS before!! Only my cheap eIPS U2311h. I did get a Spyder3Express (only 65usd at amazon right now), just to see what it really can do Both in the same order, so I'll have fun toys to play around with

No problem.

60W? When I turn on my U2711, my household power consumption increases by over 140W.

How odd.

what are you using to measure the power load? If it's your power company's provided wall panel then.... lol. Mine has never been accurate, sadly Come to think of it, do you hook it up to an UPS or a MOS surge protector (the cheaper kind)?

I'm taking the numbers from flatpanelhd's review? I dunno, I'm gonna calibrate mine ASAP when I get it

Yeah, it's the free one I got from EON, so it's probably incorrect.

Goes on the main electricity wire Thingy and wirelessly transmits the data to a little dohickey.

well, maybe you have old wires in your living place? Or thin (big number in the AWG chart - I have no clue as to others) guage ones? Or alumi ones? Either one can cause resistance to build up in the wires (causing the wires to get warm), and skew the wattage reading. Though I think it's more likely the doohickey is not being honest

No idea, I've lived here for almost 18 years, so it could well be.

The doohickey won't connect to the thingy, and it's connected to the other thingy that is probably wrong anyway. Bad times.

Woohoo! Just received confirmation that my Step Up cards are in transit!

They are scheduled to arrive by 4/7/11, which is perfect as that is one of my off days from work!

Question....looking at my system....will adding a second GTX 580 bottleneck me with my CPU or will my 1920x1080p 60Mhz refresh monitor keep me from getting higher FPS in games? I'm ready to pull the trigger but don't know if I will be limiting myself in some way and it will be a waste of money?

I have a choice to get a 120mhz monitor or another GTX 580 to SLI. The monitor isn't for 3D gaming but for better qaulity. Not sure if my eyes can even tell the difference. LOL.
