Sweet, sounds good.

Whats a safe temp to stay under with a 560, I have the evga FPB. It was hitting 75c with OCCT at 950/1.087v

Under 80?

Anyone got a suggestion for hitting 900? If I can? I needed 1.075v to get 850. Am I already too far gone to get 900 under 1.1v? I'd rather not go much higher than 1.1v.

I really believe all the jokes about all the good GF110s being used up for the 590s.

Hell my PCB is even a different color.

EDIT: From participating in the Metro 2033 benchmark thread @ stock clocks and 850MHz I saw my FPS jump from 54.5 to 58 from only 78MHz. I might have gotten a core that needs more volts but it seems to scale well with OC'ing.

That's the general rule of thumb. But remember that OCCT is an unrealistic load. Do you own any games that come with built in benchmarks? Such as Metro 2033?

If so just select it to loop for like 10 runs and report back those temps.

My 580 hit 66C in Vantage last night and I couldn't get it higher than 63C playing Metro 2033 for like half an hour.

Lovin' my new GTX 580! This thing is a beast!

http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/emru2/

EDIT: Seems to run stable (no artifacts in Heaven) but temps hit 89*C, so backed it down to 850 from 900. Stays nice and cool with acceptable noise levels. Gaming I didn't notice any real difference from the 50Mhz drop. Card is EVGA stock edition.

Strange how it got so hot. What was your voltage for 900?

Mine is @ 850 with 1.075v and maxed at 66C in Vantage.

Do you have a custom fan profile? Mine ramps up one % fan per 1C.
