Certainly no way it could cool a GPU also under max use circumstances unless one lived in very cold room and had monster fans on it.

PS: CLICK my sig "Build Logs" to see how my systems ended up... The AZZA box setup used to have an RX240 and it wasn't enough to keep the CPU cool in warm weather. I ended up using the RX240 in the bottom of the DD box...
At 4.2, my old 955BE shot up about 5-7°c. It was quite comfortable @ 4.0 which at load would hit 42-45°c. I ran a cheapo 240mm thin rad on it and got the same results as a rs360.
Awesome builds btw

So my question is what type of clocks/voltages should I be shooting for. I will be looking at the data on the first page as well but would love some input from actual users.
Lol, I'm leaving three 6950s unlcocked. Drivers and me did not get along . I've been quite happy w/ nv, now I'm back

I almost used one... but I wanted the DD box "my" way... so couldn't fit it in... only room for a triple in front.

I had to make huge compromises as you can see by the psu. I'm limited on how long the psu should be since the res is sitting very close by. Over all a new approach that even wowed the Corsair employees.

Lol, my builds are about doing things a bit different. Though, I lack the fine attention to detail that some awesome builds posses.

I sent you a PM on a more aggressive manual fan settings and explained I think they are throttling down due to the heat being sandwiched together. Cards in SLI do much better with space between them and I've never owned Tri-Sli or Tri-Fire so wouldn't know what to compare it too or how to handle it.

Here is my current manual fan setting grid specs as follows:

30C-41%
40C-52%
50C-63%
60C-74%
70C-85%
80C-96%
90C-100%

Are you at least this aggressive? I'm also on the 'curve' scale not the 'step up'. You can change between the two by double clicking in the grid.

What should be the highest load temp on a 580?

Going to try a few game benchmarks, and try to OC my card.

Had just two cards on a x58A-UD3R and the one with least breathing space for the fan intake got a lot hotter than the other....so I bought water blocks.

My X58A-OC has better spacing, but I still went water. The benching improvement wasn't as good as on the ones choking for space though....

Here is my fan Profile:

30c ~ 100%
40c ~ 100%
50c ~ 100%
60c ~ 100%
70c ~ 100%
80c ~ 100%
90c ~ 100%

I have been looking to go with a more aggressive profile but no one has figured out how to make these hamster wheels go over 100% yet lol. I want to see if I can put the stock cooler from a GTX 580 on my GTX 480's and then I can really crank them up. I have 3X GTX 480's and 1X GTX 570 all running high overclocks with stock cooling and always at 100%. I can't hear them for 2 reasons. Reason 1, I have 2X 150 CFM Delta fans running at 100% cooling my H70 and reason 2, I'm literally going deaf. So until I get my hearing aides later this month, I wont be able to hear it anyways so why not crank it up right? It bugs the hell out of my wife and kids but who cares right?

Your the reason I even turned my fan settings up.

I liked your philosophy, they're EVGA lifetime warranty, why not?

Heck I just gave mine another two points on the grid per 10C.
