Well guys...I bought the msi tf III....and installed it....
Ran heaven with all settings maxed, got 31fps.....ok I guess
I put my 3 570s back in(I know that's not fair because 3 570s spank 1
580),but just wanted to see the diff......and I ran heaven with all settings maxed
And I got 101 fps .......I played the game I play mostly, which is shogun 2 TW ....with the 580...all settings maxed and I got 29 fps....repeated the process with the 3
570s..and got 60 fps....like I said before I know that's not fair....but I can say this...I payed 670 dollars taxes and delivery, on one 580,in my opinion, when you pay that much money for one card,it should altleast get around 50-60 fps....maybe I expected to much...I don't know...but I decided to send the 580 back and go water on the 3 570s.....
but ty to all those who tried to help me......
Ill let you know how the water set up goes......

My advice to you is to do as much research as possible before officially taking the plunge. The more you know, the easier it will be for you to decide what parts you want, as well as offer a better experience when putting it all together. Not to mention that if you later decide watercooling is not for you, no matter what the reason is, returning your parts to the store you bought from may not be as easy as with video cards. wink.gif

Personally, I still think you can get the best of both worlds (temperature-wise and performance-wise) right now with just two GTX 570's, especially at your resolution. All you need to do is space the two cards out properly, and that will take care of your heat issues with nary any detriment to your performance.

As I had mentioned before, very few games even truly began to tax my system when I had two GTX 570's running at 1920x1200. I'm pretty sure that you will be fine with your two cards as well, unless your goal is to ultimately set yourself up to run Surround resolutions or run benchmarks all day long.

Return it and get two vanilla 580s 1.5gb. The extra vram is pretty much useless with a single monitor. I'm sure that two 580s 1.5gb will be very close to your three 570s. And if you really want something to slaughter your 3x 570s, get three 580s. Their prices are starting to drop down to the $400usd range which would be the equivalent of two msi 580s Xtreme. Also, as Covertash said, research, research, research! Not only the product your looking to buy, check the store you're are going to purchase it from, especially if they charge sales tax (this will save a bunch on a pricey card like the msi you got).

And, as you mentioned, its not a fair comparison when you're running three against one. Maybe compare two 570s and I'm sure they will be around the same as the msi 580. For sure, one 570 will be crushed by your 580 thumb.gif

(sighs @ second 580 still in transit and no Surround frown.gif)

Is that how you see me wermad? "Cover trash"? LOL! biggrin.gif

For what it's worth, having owned both GTX 570 SLI and GTX 580 SLI, the 570's really weren't all that far behind. It's just that in Surround resolutions, that extra 10-15% extra performance from the 580's becomes a LOT more prominent. In standard single 1080p monitor situations, though, the differences would go practically unnoticed. wink.gif

Hi guys I've got a question I would like to clarify, sorry if it's a stupid question. Will upping GPU vCore help stabilize memory overclocks? Since most cards out don't have the triple overvolt feature of MSI cards, so does that mean we can only overclock the VRAM as much as the stock voltage will let us? Thanks in advance for any insight into this.

So I ordered 2 Koolance GPU Blocks for my 570s. I can not wait as I sweat from the heat that my PC dissipates.
