Parting it out would just further chip away at my sale due to shipping prices.

SB (especially thanks to Microcenter's pricing) really did a number on X58 resale value.

I guess I should just focus on finishing one project at a time though. My watercooling is halted at the moment since I ran out of funds to buy the Koolance dual-bay res and extra fittings. My sleeving also isn't going anywhere at the moment either because I'm still waiting for Corsair to ship to me the extra power cables that they said shipped "a while" ago.

I'm just wondering, how do u guys handle if your GPU can reach 80 degrees (air cooling) on max game, and ambient temp of 20. Did it because of my case, or the airflow, or the thermal paste??

Well your case is supposed to have great air flow and your card as well. I'm not sure how hot 580's get compared to 570s. I'd try to reapply quality thermal paste.

I've got two cards in a SLI sandwich and the top card will hit 80 within a few minutes but I'm not worried because they're made to deal with a heat beating.

But yours is a DirectCUII in a HAF X so it really shouldn't get that hot.

Have you tried putting a 120mm fan at the end of the GPU holder/ shroud thing?

You could also set some custom fan profiles. Someone in this thread had shared some good ones. If you can't find it or someone hasn't linked you to them by the time I get back to the PC I'll link you. Either way I think something isn't right.

those card's are too close almost any vga on sandwich going to get hot as hell, the top card has no way to bread 100% one suffocate other, easy fix put under water of try work around by surround those cards with extra fan that;s the only way you going to get better temps, my GTX 570 alone was hitting 90C OC on game play with stock cooler
imagine 2 GTX 570 SC with sukcx stock cooler in sandwich ? you must have better temp's with yours DII

PS: termal paste won't going to change anything.

My 580 sandwich wont peak over 82c when benching at 900MHz and 82c max in long game sessions at stock clocks.

It's all about airflow and fan profiles.
