). Though the extra vram on the 580 3gb does go a long way on three screens for the most demanding games. If your budget has a limit, get the 590 since its cheaper to put it on water and its a single card application. As far as watercooling it, imho get an aftermarket block and install it yourself. The EVGA hydro ones use the Swiftech blocks which are a bit more expensive and comparable to the other aftermarket blocks in terms of performance. If you want to keep costs as low as possible, get a gtx 590 and an xspc block for it. Also, DangerDen has a 590 block for a bit more:XSPCDD
Awesome thank you for all the info. So, I'm not really on a budget but if I don't need to spend the money then I won't haha but I want the best.
I asked in the General video card forum if I'd be better off Tri-Firing my 6970 with a 6990, or just getting a single 6990 and using just that.
I know there's a bunch of benches and arguments and all that regarding nVidia and AMD.
What I'm looking for is, it seems that I'd be the best at TriFiring my 6970 with a 6990 rather than just a single 6990. That's just as far as AMD goes.
But I'm obviously looking at switching cus I like to try new stuff hence me posting in this thread. I'm not a fanboy of either so I'm not biased.
Now as far as Nvidia, am I good with a single 590 and that's it? Orrrrr would I be better off with Tri-Sli 590/580? I mean, I'm sure I'd be better off with the latter but from your reply, it seems I'd be just fine with a 590 and a tri-sli would be overkill, correct?
What about a single 3GB 580? I'd need 2 of those bad boys to be good with 3 monitors correct?
Sorry for all the confusion, I hope there isn't any. I'm just trying to figure out the best configurations so I can run this bad boy.
Thank you again!
