If the cpu is maxed overclocking the memory more can help keep the physics score going up.

I will be running this card on one monitor and if you don't like it t(-_-t)
I am glad to know it has this amazing feature: "Ready SLI support"
Very cool and unheard of here at OCN

OK, sarcasm aside: It's a nice card, man!

Just don't forget to tweak the fan profile on MSI Afterburner so you can lower fan speeds a bit. I found that the original fan profile is a bit too aggressive, unless you are overclocking to the far side of 900 core (and therefore increasing the voltage from its standard 1.0volt at 832MHz)

On my cards (same as yours but with half the RAM), I found that until around 950MHz you can leave your fans very silent (mine never goes above 55%). After 65% fan speed the card becomes a little noisy (especially in SLI). Almost like a 480GTX with the ref. cooler (bearable but a bit loud).

Yeah, don't worry about that, man.

If you plan on buying (or maybe have already bought) the best air-cooled non-ref. 580GTX (the MSI Lightning XE) you really don't need that. Believe me, the card is good! It runs cool and silent! My suggestion was meant to decrease the noise from already low levels to the lowest possible (if you care about it). It is not a matter of necessity.

And, as mun1son said, if you want a water cooled 580 gtx buy a reference design card (cause they're cheaper) from any maker and build your own custom loop.

hehe,

I know the feeling!

The warranty is 1 year for all MSI graphic cards (pretty much standard).
