hey markothevrba, just as something think about. i have had my gigabyte GTX 560 ti for almost two months and honestly i have had no problem with it, no need to underclock. i think you should wait for it to possibly have a problem. keep all that power you payed for!! just my thoughts.

to get to 900 core was easy, i havent really been able to get past 950, even with 1.213V (i moded the bios) but then again i have an ambient temp of 26C+ so my temps arent that great. I got a run of 3Dmark11 with 965 core once when i had an AC unit blowing into my case and lowered the "ambient temp" of the case to about 11C lol. As soon as EK gets the waterblocks for the DCII in stock and in my hands i should be able to do better

just incase anyone is interested

thanks bouf, +rep, how hot does it get now? because i don't really see temp problems, i mean i did furmark and got to 70 celsius but still that's far away from the max of what? 100 celsius. i mean the cooling is good on the card, i have it in a haf 932 so she gets plenty of air. did you read any specific steps to how to overclock the 580, can't seem to find any for myself.

EDIT::

can you please update me? i still have the 560 ti but in a different computer here is my new validation for my 580! thanks.

70° is still a safe temp & not an issue, but the cooler you can get a card to run the better it will overclock.
