Buzzing PSU coils or capacitors can be annoying but, they're not a defect in the strict sense. You can probably keep using it without any problem if you can get used to the noise

Also, do you have intel's power saving stuffs turned ON on the BIOS?
Sometimes they can lead to PSU coil whine, and if thats the case, the problem is solved simply by turning them off (that is actually advised in case of coil whine/buzzing by some manufactures, like corsair, and it worked for me once on an old antec PSU).

Also also, if you have a line filter or line conditioner that you can plug your pc to, that would be a nice test since sometimes these PSU noises are caused by external factors (bad wiring on the house, electromagnetic noise on the line or EM resonance).

Just wait and test things before you go spending money on something that might not solve your problem.

It's most likely coming from your card - and it's nothing to worry about (short of being really annoying).

Read this for information about this 'buzzing'

edit: didn't notice you said it was your PSU - that's also normal, and fixable by dropping hot glue on top of the inductor (if you're comfortable with that - if not send it back and hope to get one that doesn't buzz )

thanks for the advices
i think it really is the psu, once i turn the computer off,
the psu still making buzzing noise, but really low noise, i'll check the other advices u told me, if nothing will help, i'll just replace it with corsair one, i'll take lower voltage, but decent one.. since the corsair psus are more expensive than the one i have, i'm sure i'll be able to replace it my friend work's at the store haha

is it only in older benchmarks or all across? ive noticed that any of the newer gpus, be it 6970/6990/570/580 makes that sound when rendering 800 fps+
post #3817 of 5998
whats your budget? are you planning on going sli or tri sli? if you can get a Corsair AX850 or AX1200
post #3818 of 5998
it's definitely from the PSU, i'm playing with the voltage at MSI afterburner, when i raise it, the buzzing sound get's higher underload, lower it the buzzing sound decreases, so it is the psu fault?. i should replace it?

lol 800fps yea that's definitely choke whine you can hear (I think I'd whine too if I had to render that many fps).

And in answer to your question - just because it buzzes doesn't mean it's going to break or is low quality. Ever opened a PSU up and found big globs of glue splattered haphazardly throughout the thing? It's not haphazard - they do it to stop the buzzing - obviously in this case they missed one

Only thing I can suggest is send it back if it's getting to you.
