I don't like Newegg for the sole reason because they charge full state sales tax to us New Jersians where Microcenter is in a Urban Enterprise Zone so it's half tax rate.

Saves a good deal of money on large purchases such as what I bought tonight.

Haha I've got homework to do tonight and probably will sit on this purchase for a few days while I decide if it was worth it.

Also this is my first rig and I want to ask if I also need to reformat my data drive that has all my games on it.

Can you just plug the data drive into the new board and all works as planned? Or do some games add files to the OS drive?

I don't want to lose any saved games or anything like that.

You guys think a HX750W will handle GTX 580 SLi with the below specs?

It might be able to handle the setup, but not if the 580s are overclocked.

I would check out the Phaedrus PSU calculator.

You will want to format and reinstall your OS. Sometimes you can get away with out but mostly it makes it really buggy. Just back up your saved games and youll be good. Nothing better than a fresh install anyway!

Edit: oh never mind you said your other drive. That will plug and play mostly.

Basically what num1son said.

I'm not sure how you have your data stored though, but for me, my OS and applications are put on a partition in a small drive while all of my games are on a separate 1TB drive. Fortunately, almost all of them are on Steam, so whenever I format, all I have to do is just reinstall Steam to the same drive and run it for the first time.

I also back up my user folder ("C:\\Users\\covertash", for example) as most saved games are stored in there somewhere, along with other miscellaneous settings for applications. I just copy that whole folder to one of my backup drives, and then after the format is done, all apps/games have been reinstalled, I just copy that folder back. Easy peasy.

Mines handling my pair just fine at the moment. Only a factory overclock though.
