I used chat, I needed a department that doesn't have phone support that you can call. They have to send them an email and they get back to you. If was beyond the scope of a normal support person.

Damn right we should!

My wallet is making whimpering noises in my pocket. :/

But damn does it look good!

Haven't OC'd the chip yet but I have it running with ASUS' "Performance" setting which keeps it at the max turbo multi all the time so in reality it's only 200MHz off my old setup and it's not even OC'd yet.

I also LOVE seeing my top 580 idle at 35c for the first time in it's life! Usually never went below 43c. I bet it's breathing a nice sigh of relief.

Still haven't done anything particularly stressful with the setup because I want to lower the voltage when at stock to something more reasonable. ASUS sets 1.25v for their "Auto" 3.8GHz setting which I think is way too much.

Gotta love playing with new toys and seeing the dramatic differences it brings - especially temps for other components.

Ah. No wonder why so many people LOVE running space in SLI. My ears are rejoicing.

And thanks covertash copying the user folder saved me a lot of in game headache although i did lose about 5 saves in The Witcher 2. Not sure why, I copied the WHOLE folder. It's alright though, now I can make better choices.

I went from running an SLI 580 sandwich which ran at around 78c full load in The Witcher 2 to a setup where the top card runs at only 68c top temp with the bottom card trailing only 5c behind. Much better than my old setup.

CPU still not overclocked. Won't have time to OC it and test it tonight.

Yep, sandwiches are good if you have no other choice, but giving the cards their own space makes a world of a difference.

It's weird that you lost a few saved games. Does the Witcher 2 use the Steam Cloud? If so, it may have newer data that conflicts with what you have on your hard drive. But I'm glad to hear that this worked for you with everything else.

I have the retail version so it isn't Steam related, but it's okay. I went back and found some quests I didn't even know existed and ended up finding like 500 more gold this time through. Gave me some play time to find out the max temps which were amazing. I'm never getting a board that doesn't have at least one slot for spacing.

That's the only game I cared about, the others are mindless FPS that I cpould care less about restarting.

But I love this setup. Cool and quiet. Just gotta OC and run some benches.

I think it's time you get that Maximus IV.

Have you tried the 275.xx drivers? I've had little to no problems with them with SLI. Might be a driver issue. Nvidia is releasing some sub-par drivers lately.
