Hey, I thought the people in this thread would know the best. I have a plan at the moment to but two MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II. I was just wondering how hot they get when they are at max usage. I don't plan to put them in SLI, if that adds any heat. Also I was going to put in the 1st slot and the 3rd slot, assuming that might help lower heat.

TL;DR: How hot do two MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II get, at max usage.

That will lower heat. I don't have those cards, but here is what I get with my setup, which may help....

I have 2 of the nvidia reference cards in SLI (1 slot in between). I removed the coolers and took off the massive amounts of Goo that the manf applied and replaced it with IC7. I also applied 2 of the EVGA backplates (not sure it helped any, but looks nice lol)

I went from stock clocks of 822/1645/1000 to 970/1940/1050 and my max temps in Furmark Burn in Test went from 94c to 91c on the top card and 80c to 78c on the bottom card.

Now, if I left it at stock, the temps never got over 78 and 69.
I tell you all this cause, the Frozr cards run cooler (obviously). A pretty good bit from what I have read.

Sorry I couldn't provide you with direct info, but I hope that helps you out.

Thanks for the reply. Helps me a good amount.

Also, would there be a better card for cooling? Preferably a 560 TI. Also, I don't want to water cool.

Nah, those cards are top notch. My ONLY dislike about them is that they don't blow the heat outside the case. Which isn't a problem for most as the modern cases have good air flow.

I think you would be very happy with those cards.
One thing I did forget to mention about my post above, is the ambient temps. The ambient for all the numbers listed was ~24c. With stock case fans on the PC-K62 case.

I say pull the trigger. I haven't seen anyone complain about the heat on those.

Nice, I won't use a case because they will just be on a folding rig and they will be by a box fan, which actually help all my rigs have lost 5-10C

Ah, in that case, heck yeah!! If my memory is correct, they beef up the power system on those cards to help with the OC. So yeah, you should be gravy with it being on a bench.

I get roughly 14k PPD with my cards at those clocks.

He used to do it about once a week but now it seems longer in between. last post was quite some time ago.

When he had post he was hinting heavily about needing some help with the thread or even relinquishing his duties. I hope he hasn't abandoned us. I like seeing the front page info with 'proof' as it shows clocks and scores a lot of the time. It's cool to compare for us geeks.

I'm sure if he's MIA a moderator will step in.

I made an offer of help back then, but did not get a reply. Hate to see a good thread languish. A shame.
