I have te evga backplate and apparently there are no washers but what looksnlie little caps made of clear rubber on the back and then there are threaded inserts that appear to be either alum or stainless that make contact with where the screws sit without the plate.

Should there be washers needed? It also doesn't mention anything about them on EVGA's website.

No, that's fine. I keep forgetting that's the EVGA backplate. Just use whatever came with the kit. I don;'t believe that backplate requires nylon washers.

just for reference on the cooling. yes window a/c unit inside, duct's blowing directly into Venomous-X and directly into GTX570.

one image is the setup (ghetto) on a HD5850. of course this isn't your everyday 24/7 solution to cooling, but works great for benching..

New Vantage run after CPU OC.

I plan on tweaking the cards after I get a higher wattage PSU (looking at the 850 and 1000).

Go for the 1000W,

My rig with SLI GTX570s and the i7 970 pulls 840W from the wall at maximum loading. Keep in mind though that is including the GTX260 SC in addition the GTX570 SC SLI and the CPU.

wow, that's a lot. Luckily I'm 1 card short from you but I doubt it's leaving ANY headroom for my 750.

Lol phew.

I also bought some of those ghetto ModRight sleeved cable extensions from MicroCenter and let me tell you that it's a biotch to add those things to already long cables! I ended up cutting a nice gash on my thumb from what I think was the edge of the hard drive cage in my HAF 932. I saw some spots of blood on the floor and was like ? Then I saw the back of my thumb. Lol.

I think I got them to look decent. Let's hope they can handle 650 watts of powar!

I'm gonna take pics of the backplate and HFB when I get to that. I'm so scurd of stripping them little screws.

I don't regret getting a "Kill o watt."

Other tools in my Arsenal inlclude a Fluke 187
Bi-metal temperature probe for that fluke
and a Clamp on ammeter for said fluke

knowing exacltly what is going on in that tower is a big help on overclocking. My current fight is getting my CPU perfectly stable, then I will work on pushing those GTX570s a bit harder.
